Some days, it feels like the world is on my shoulders.
Being a husband, a father, and running businesses—all while worrying that something might crumble—can feel like a never-ending roller coaster. Some days, it’s like I have the Midas touch; everything I do turns to gold.
Other days, it’s hard to even muster the motivation to keep going.
Add in the pressure to always work out, eat right, and “do the right thing,” and it’s overwhelming.
But here’s the truth: I prefer it this way. I prefer the grind, the challenge, and the effort to improve myself.
I’m not complaining—I’m being real. Because when you’re down, the hardest thing to do is to keep going.
That’s where simplicity saves me.
I’ve learned that I don’t need to chase perfection every day. Instead, I focus on doing the next good thing. To some, this might seem average. It might even look too basic to work. But here’s the secret: It works.
It works better than doing nothing, and on the good days? It builds the foundation for extraordinary results.
This is what I call the Stonecutter’s Creedo (
Read the Poem Here): just keep pounding the stone. Even when it feels like nothing is happening, the cracks are forming, the progress is real, and the results will show.
